somethings i learnt from my population geog:
the cost of fertilizing US golf courses for a year is enough to feed an entire african nation for a year!!
AND it costs 7 million to film a stunt in a movie, enough to educated 77 MILLION africans on AIDS awareness!!
a pretty ridiculous world we live in isnt it?!?
i like studying pop geog:) coz it's relatively simpler compared to other human geog topics, or geog topics for the matter. it seems like the world's trying to find its balance somewhere. or maybe it's like water finding the lowest point.
i was having an internal debate between studying economics geog and urban geography. ive decided to go for urban geog since it seems to give a more opitimistic feeling. HAHA we shall see...
im very much into pastel art now! especially after a three hour session yesterday experimenting with colours!! i was TREMENDOUSLY INSPIRED by an artbook
i dug out from the shelf yesterday afternn. the paintings and demos in there looked soooooo beautiful yet simple and easy-looking enough. HAH. so i decided to try them out!! wellll turned out most of my watercolour tubes have run out of paint so too bad i had to make do with the ones u do with crayons:) and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!! though i must admit trying to get the desired effects wasn't easy! but in the process i churned out quite a number of interesting colour combinations that i had never thought of using before! and it's pretty amazing how EVERY colour combination reflects a different mood! heeheeeeeee here comes artist lee!! mwahha looks like ive got a new found hobby!! perhaps i'll like to get a scrapbook, a new set of watercolour paint and a new set of crayons:) my current set of crayons have lived with me since i was 7! i'd particularly like to try out landscape drawings:)
